Tecoma is a small suburb, nestled between Belgrave and Upwey, in the foothills of the Dandenong Ranges. It adjoins Sherbrooke Forest and was named after the shrub ‘Tecoma’ that grew in the area.

The Tecoma railway station was established to transport timber and is now on the metro train link between Belgrave and Melbourne. A lovely bike trail heads from Belgrave Station past Tecoma all the Dandenong Creek trail.
