A challenging climb up Mount Dandenong starting at Upper Ferntree Gully adjacent to the 1000 Steps car park.

Emerald Lake Park

Discover all Emerald Lake Park has to offer – paddle boat rides, model railway display, café, free barbeque facilities, Puffing Billy, walking tracks, seasonal wading pool, fishing. The Environment Centre offers a live aquatic display, information on flora and fauna, and information on the park.

Grants Picnic Ground

Situated in the Sherbrooke Forest, Grants Picnic Ground is one of the top attractions of the Dandenong Ranges and is famous for its abundance of nature and walking tracks.

Johns Hill Reserve Lookout

The Lookout at Johns Hill Reserve has scenic views north past Monbulk and south across Johns Hill reservoir towards Menzies Creek and Emerald.

Karwarra Australian Plant Garden and Nursery

Karwarra Australian Plant Garden and Nursery is set on two hectares at picturesque Kalorama in the Dandenong Ranges. Karwarra Plant Garden is devoted to displaying a diverse range of Australian plants in a landscaped setting.

Kays Picnic Ground

Close to the Sassafras end of the Dandenong Ranges Tourist Track is Kays Picnic Ground where you can stop to smell the gum trees and watch the wildlife!

Kurth Kiln Regional Park

Located a short distance from Melbourne, the park is mostly known for its kiln used during the Second World War to make charcoal for gas producer units fitted to motor cars. The park contains a range of forest types and is popular for picnicking, camping, walking and horse riding.
